To glance means to quickly look at something:"You glance at someone as they walk by"
Glimpse is when something catches your eye:
"I caught a glimpse of a tiger in the jungle"
Both have similar meanings and in a lot of cases can be used interchangeably.
However glance sounds more "active", youre actively looking at the subject, and glimpse sounds more "passive", the subject draws your eyes to look at it.
