Villagers were passive[2] mobs[3] that inhabit villages[4], with different professions, breed, and interact. Their clothing varied according to their occupation. A player[5] could trade[6] with villagers, using emeralds[7] as currency. They were replaced with a revamped version of themselves in the Village & Pillage[8] update.
