The trading system is a gameplay[1] mechanic that allows players[2] to trade emeralds[3] for items[4] (and vice-versa) with villagers[5] and wandering traders[6].
Mechanics[edit]Pressing use on an adult villager[7] or wandering trader[8] opens a GUI, allowing a player to trade with the villager or wandering trader. Villagers make offers based on their profession trading either emeralds for items or items for emeralds. Wandering traders offer only to sell items for emeralds. All transactions involve emeralds.
