The Taipei Arts Festival has been hosted by the Taipei Performing Arts Center since 2018. As a cultural representative of the capital city, the Festival aims to provide a creative base for the artists, as well as access to art for the citizens. The Festival sees the propagation of Taipei‘s cultural vigor and diversity as its mission; through artistic endeavor, it also aims to promote cultural industries and tourism.
In this edition of the Festival, we reflect on the “endless drama” in our world. The pandemic has imposed challenges both on the production and the promotion of performances; yet it also spurred the creation of innovative forms. Art survives by the ceaseless efforts of the artists who keep faith in art and continue to create artworks.
