The regions of Taiwan are based on the historical administrative divisions. However, most of the definitions are not precise.
Division into two regions[edit] Northern Taiwan: Taipei, New Taipei, Keelung, Taoyuan, Hsinchu (City/County), Miaoli, Taichung, Changhua, and Nantou.
