Vue.js[1] is a popular JavaScript library for building web application user interfaces and Visual Studio Code has built-in support for the Vue.js building blocks of HTML[2], CSS[3], and JavaScript[4]. For a richer Vue.js development environment, you can install the Volar[5] and Volar for TypeScript[6] extensions that support Vue.js IntelliSense, code snippets, formatting, and more.
Note: Vue 2 support will end on December 31st, 2023[7] so the use of the Vetur[8] extension is not recommended[9]. You will need to disable Vetur[10] to use Volar.
