I don’t quite understand the question. So I will just share my knowledge and personal experience of using the word “appreciate”.
Common MistakesI DON’T think people say “appreciate it” because it sounds weird without a subject. For some reason, saying “appreciated” by itself doesn’t sound right either. But “much appreciated” sounds okay. e.g.,
A: I folded the laundry for you.B: I appreciate it.
A: I washed the car for you.B: Much appreciated.
“Thank You” versus “Appreciate”“Thank you” and “appreciate” can be used for telling someone they are grateful for something that was said or done.
