The arrondissement of Saint-Denis is an arrondissement of France in the Seine-Saint-Denis department in the Île-de-France region. It has 9 communes.[1] Its population is 435,309 (2016), and its area is 47.4 km2 (18.3 sq mi).[2]

History[edit]The arrondissement of Saint-Denis was created in February 1993 from part of the arrondissement of Bobigny.[3]
As a result of the reorganisation of the cantons of France which came into effect in 2015, the borders of the cantons are no longer related to the borders of the arrondissements. The cantons of the arrondissement of Saint-Denis were, as of January 2015:[4]
