To translate your question directly "Whom are you looking for?, or whom do you want to speak to", I dont think it is a proper way to ask the client (customer) when you first see him (or respond, answer). It can be used later, but definitely not the first. After all, how do you know this client is here for "check in", "visit" or "something else"?
