Originating as a campfire song, "Baby Shark" became very popular in 2016, when Pinkfong, a South Korean entertainment company, released a version of the song with a YouTube music video that went viral across social media, online video and radio. In November 2020, Pinkfongs version became the most-viewed YouTube video of all time, with over 7 billion views.[1][2] In January 2022, it became the first YouTube video to reach 10 billion views.[citation needed]
